Description
The City and Borough of Sitka is soliciting construction services to remove and replace standby power systems at the Jamestown Bay and HPR Cove lift stations. The work includes removal and disposal preparation of existing diesel generators and associated equipment; modifications to existing concrete generator bases; installation of owner-furnished 50 kW Caterpillar diesel generator sets, generator skids, automatic transfer switches, radiator-mounted load banks, batteries, chargers, and upgraded electrical components; and reconnection or replacement of fuel, exhaust, ventilation, controls, and electrical systems. The contractor must perform generator testing with a resistive load bank at 10%, 50%, and 100% load, provide factory-trained or authorized technical support as needed, comply with applicable Alaska and federal prevailing-wage, Davis-Bacon, disadvantaged-business-enterprise, equal-employment-opportunity, and American Iron and Steel requirements, and provide required insurance, bid security, performance security, payment security, certified payroll, and closeout documentation. Substantial completion is required by June 30, 2027, followed by 30 days for physical completion and an additional 30 days for final completion.
