Description
The Department of the Interior, through its Interior Business Center Acquisitions Service Directorate, intends to solicit multiple indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts for fully contractor-operated and maintained on-call helicopter flight services in Alaska. Contractors must provide helicopters, qualified personnel, and all associated equipment to transport personnel and cargo in support of government natural-resource missions. Potential missions include fire suppression, fire monitoring, initial attack, prescribed fire and aerial ignition, rehabilitation seeding, search and rescue, aerial capture and animal eradication or tagging, overwater and platform or vessel landings, nonthreatening law-enforcement surveillance, and related administrative activities. Aircraft must meet applicable Federal Aviation Administration certification and operating requirements, including operation under 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135. The anticipated ordering period is five years, from March 1, 2027, through February 29, 2032. The future solicitation is planned as a 100% small-business set-aside; proposals are not requested under this presolicitation notice.
