Description
The United States Air Force is requesting firm-fixed-price quotes for three new 14-passenger commercial buses and one new 44-passenger conventional-style commercial bus for the Child and Youth Program. The buses will transport youth between local elementary schools and School Age Centers at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. All vehicles must meet applicable federal, state, and local passenger-transportation safety regulations and include automatic transmissions, air brakes, and Alaska winterization features. The buses must meet the detailed requirements in the Salient Characteristics attachment, including specified passenger capacities, gasoline V8 engines, three-point passenger seat belts, dual rear wheels where applicable, heating and air-conditioning systems, cold-weather insulation, emergency exits, backup cameras and alarms, safety equipment, and manufacturer warranties. Quotes must include the completed pricing schedule and detailed technical specifications demonstrating compliance with the salient characteristics.
