Description
The Georgia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from firms currently prequalified for the required right-of-way service classes to perform demolition and removal services for structures and improvements on DeKalb County parcels associated with a highway project. The work includes demolition of vacant residential structures and miscellaneous improvements; removal and disposal of concrete walks, driveways, patios, fencing, decks, pools, play structures, vegetation, abandoned items, and other debris; utility disconnection and protection; construction access; traffic control; erosion and sediment control; and compliant disposal or recycling of demolition materials. The contractor must also install and later remove temporary security fencing, restore grades and landscaping, install specified permanent fencing, shrubs, curb and gutter improvements, and complete follow-up erosion-control work. Work is generally limited to 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and must be completed within 60 days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit the complete signed ITB package electronically through GA@WORK Marketplace, and the selected contractor must provide post-bid insurance documentation and 100% performance and payment bonds.
