Description
DeKalb County is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Stewart Mill Road and Bermuda Road, including splitter islands, pedestrian crossings, a center truck apron, roadway widening, mill-and-overlay work, full-depth pavement construction, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, drainage improvements, signing and pavement markings, landscaping, erosion and sedimentation controls, and an alternate lighting package. The work also includes coordination with property owners, removal of approximately 350 feet of fence, and relocation of approximately 35 landscape boulders. Bidders and/or their subcontractors must hold Georgia Department of Transportation prequalification in work classes 150, 201, and 400. The bid package requires a 10% bid guarantee, mandatory LSBE participation or documented good-faith efforts, mandatory attendance at an LSBE meeting and pre-bid meeting, three similar-project references from the last four years, and submission of the required vendor questionnaire, affidavits, licenses, LSBE documentation, and other bid forms. Successful bidders must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and specified insurance coverage.
