Description
The City of South Fulton is seeking qualifications from a consultant to prepare a greenway feasibility study for a proposed trail and related improvements. The study will determine whether the project can be designed, funded, permitted, constructed, operated, and maintained, and will address route alternatives, connectivity, safety, land use, infrastructure, environmental constraints, topography, right-of-way and easement needs, property acquisitions, and utility conflicts. The selected consultant will develop conceptual trail designs and exhibits, evaluate trailheads, parking, access roads, bridges, boardwalks, lighting, signage, and pedestrian crossings, and prepare planning-level cost estimates for design, right-of-way, utilities, mitigation, construction, inspection, and contingencies. The work also includes identifying funding opportunities, conducting public-involvement meetings, and preparing a phased implementation plan. Qualifications-based selection will evaluate consultant qualifications, technical approach, schedule and capacity, and past performance; pricing is requested only from the highest-ranked consultant during subsequent negotiations.
