Description
The City of Fredericksburg is soliciting sealed bids to convert its Marktplatz Police Substation and restrooms into new restrooms, a small reservations room, and storage space. The work includes selective demolition; new stud walls, drywall, doors, and hardware; lighting and power; HVAC; plumbing fixtures; interior finishes such as wall and floor tile, painting, suspended ceilings, carpet, and trim; site work including grading, pavers, and masonry walls; and final cleanup. Bids must include bid security equal to 5% of the bidder's maximum bid price. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds. Bidding and contract documents are available electronically through CivCast beginning October 20, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the project site, and bidder questions must be submitted through CivCast by November 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
