Description
Nash County seeks a contractor to replace the front entry steps at its Administration Building. The work includes demolishing and removing the existing exterior paver/tile finish and mortar, preparing and repairing the concrete substrate, furnishing and installing new granite treads, risers, and landing pavers, and establishing proper elevations, drainage slopes, movement joints, sealants, and threshold transitions. The contractor must protect, clean, repair, and patch the existing precast balusters and caps; remove, clean, polish, repair, and reinstall the existing aluminum handrail and posts with new anchor sleeves; salvage and store existing red tile as directed; remove debris; and complete the work in accordance with the drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and manufacturer requirements. Bidders must be licensed as required by North Carolina law, field-verify existing conditions, and complete the work by December 15, 2026. A mandatory Proposal Form is required, and the award is expected to go to the lowest responsible bidder.
