Description
The University of Connecticut is conducting a two-part Request for Qualifications for masonry contractor services for the Charter Oak Apartments Facade Repairs project. The scope includes removing existing rowlock and wood trim, replacing flashing, and replacing rowlock brick with precast units. Responders must complete the solicitation’s online questions and submit the required forms and supporting materials, including previous relevant experience, proposed key-personnel resumes, annual financial statements, and conditional health, safety, litigation, labor, integrity, conflict-of-interest, and other qualification information. The initial submission is for qualification and shortlisting; shortlisted firms will later be invited to submit cost proposals. The selected contractor must self-perform at least 10% of the total contract price. Construction is planned for 18 weeks, with an anticipated notice to proceed on January 31, 2027, and construction planned to begin March 15, 2027.
