Description
Delaware County is soliciting bids for Phase 1 structural stabilization and restoration of the Delaware County Courthouse's high-priority exterior marble work. The scope includes raking and repointing joints around lower dentils and the lower cornice; installing lead T-caps in sky-facing joints; installing fiberglass pins and adhesive at unstable dentils, cornice sections, finials, headers, column scrolls, and other overhead projections; Dutchman repairs with blind pins; marble patch repairs; crack-injection repairs; consolidation treatment; and replacement of selected lower dentils and cornice sections. The work must comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and includes temporary scaffolding, protection, soundproofing barriers, site controls, mockups, and historic-treatment documentation. The procurement is a single-prime construction contract with a 180-calendar-day completion period from the Official Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit unit prices, a 10% bid guarantee, a Consent/Agreement of Surety, qualification and financial information, contractor and applicable subcontractor responsibility certifications, an apprenticeship-training program description, an Affirmative Action Program statement, a subcontractor list, and related proposal forms and supporting documents. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-materials bonds and a 10% maintenance bond after award.
