Description
Alameda County, through its General Services Agency and Fire Department, is requesting proposals from a qualified licensed medical provider to provide continuous physician oversight for the Alameda County Fire Department's First Responder Advanced Life Support (FRALS) and ALS programs. The contractor must support compliance with California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 9, and applicable federal, state, local, and Alameda County Emergency Medical Services Agency requirements. Services include controlled-substance program oversight; patient care report and clinical quality-indicator review; infection-control and exposure-management consultation; EMS education and training oversight; regulatory compliance support; clinical risk identification and escalation; inspection readiness; reporting; and actionable EMS quality-improvement recommendations. The work is intended to improve protocol adherence, documentation quality, medication accountability, workforce competency, patient safety, and regulatory readiness. The County intends to award a three-year contract with an option to renew for two additional years.
