Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is soliciting podiatry services for residents of San Antonio State Hospital. The contractor must provide twice-weekly on-site clinics, each serving up to 10 patients, including face-to-face evaluations, physical examinations, follow-up and routine visits, consultations, referrals, and treatment for conditions such as bunions, calluses and corns, fungal nails, foot or ankle fractures, gout, heel pain, and ingrown toenails. Services must be performed Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Central Time, with specified response times for service calls and emergencies. The contractor must provide a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine licensed as a podiatrist in Texas, meet stated experience requirements, complete mandatory two-week training before treating patients, and provide at least three verifiable references for similar work performed within the previous two years. The initial contract begins upon award and expires August 31, 2029, with no renewal options, although HHSC may extend it for up to one year for continuity or transition purposes. Responses must include the required affirmations, pricing sheet, and bidder reference and qualifications form, with additional submission requirements depending on applicable addenda and bidder circumstances.
