The Gloucester County Improvement Authority is soliciting qualifications and proposals from a New Jersey-licensed physician to serve as Medical Director for Shady Lane Nursing Home for a one-year term from March 1, 2019, through February 28, 2020. Responsibilities include coordinating medical care for all residents; implementing a policies and procedures manual; attending quarterly Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement and Pharmacy and Therapeutics meetings; conducting weekly meetings with nursing leadership; supporting regulatory surveys and informal dispute resolution; and completing required documentation at least monthly for Medicaid residents and weekly for Medicare Part A residents. The Medical Director must designate an on-call licensed professional during absences, use the Sigma Care system for orders and resident documentation, and provide a New Jersey professional license, current malpractice insurance, and a CDS license for Shady Lane Home. Proposals must include a fee, proposed retainer if applicable, services provided under the retainer, and hourly billing rates. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed, and the provider will invoice residents and applicable third-party payers directly.
