Yuba City Unified School District is soliciting sealed bids for the complete removal and replacement of failing skylights at the Yuba City High School South Gymnasium. The work includes removal and disposal of existing skylights, glazing, frames, and flashing; inspection and preparation of skylight curbs; installation of 84-by-48-inch curb-mounted fixed flat-glass Lane-Aire skylights with bronze powder-coated aluminum frames, division bars, and one-inch insulated glass units; and installation of flashing, counterflashing, sealants, fasteners, and waterproofing integrated with the existing roof membrane. The contractor must provide safety barriers and fall protection, coordinate work around school operations, maintain daily weatherproofing, conduct hose-spray watertightness testing, clean the work areas, complete final inspections, and submit manufacturer warranties. Unit prices are also required for potential replacement of deteriorated wood roof decking and fascia. Bidders must hold an active California B General Building and/or C-39 Roofing contractor license, be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, comply with prevailing-wage requirements, and provide 10% bid security. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance after award. The contract work schedule is December 21, 2026, through January 4, 2027, with a 14-calendar-day contract time stated in the agreement.
