Description
Burlington Electric Department is requesting proposals to repair a damaged downstream release assembly serving a fish sorting tank at Winooski One Hydroelectric Dam. The work includes removing an approximately 8-foot section of curved 12-inch PVC pipe and couplings, removing deteriorated metal supports, installing new galvanized supports and a replacement pipe section, assisting with operational adjustments, and cleaning the site. The Department will provide the 45-degree coupling; the contractor must provide consumables, welding and cutting supplies, personal protective equipment, lifting and rigging equipment, and disposal of generated waste. The proposal must include a company summary and contact information, technical approach and project plan, a fixed not-to-exceed cost, professional experience and references, information about proposed subcontractors, and any additional relevant information. A mandatory site visit is required before award. The contractor must also provide the required insurance certificate and applicable Burlington compliance certifications, including certifications concerning outsourcing, union deterrence, and the livable wage ordinance.
