Description
The Town of Shelburne is soliciting design-build construction services for a new maintenance building at Davis Park. The work includes developing construction drawings and a cost estimate; demolishing and legally disposing of the existing maintenance shop while leaving the attached Scout barn undisturbed; salvaging usable foundation sections; and constructing a two-bay garage approximately 36 feet by 28 feet. The new facility must include an ADA-compliant exterior-access half bathroom, utility closet, two insulated overhead garage doors, an insulated main entry door, electrical and plumbing systems, lighting, heating, insulation, roofing, siding, windows, concrete slab and apron work, and a fire-rated separation from the Scout area. Proposals may offer alternative construction methods, including prefabricated or metal-kit construction, if they meet the required form, fit, function, and cost criteria. Alternate pricing is requested for underground electrical service, 400-amp service, natural-gas HVAC, stained siding, vinyl restroom wall siding, and an additional concrete apron. The estimated project cost is $150,000 to $205,000, with construction scheduled from October 15, 2026, through April 15, 2027.
