Description
The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the fabrication, furnishing, and delivery of structural steel specified in the Steel Material List for replacement of the steel beam timber bridge on Route 618, Structure 6129, over Hazel River in Rappahannock County. The scope includes 15 W16 x 89 x 40-foot beams, angle clips, associated steel materials, fabrication, and delivery; galvanizing is not required. Steel and fabrication must conform to the applicable VDOT 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications, Section 226. The bid price must include all materials, fabrication, and delivery. The contract is nonrenewable and runs from award through 120 days, as revised by Addendum 2. Bidders must submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan and the State Corporation Commission form with the electronic bid response. The manufacturer and shipping-point form is no longer mandatory with the bid, although manufacturer information should be provided if known at submission. A copy of the commercial warranty must also be furnished with the bid.
