Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is soliciting bids for concrete repairs to the Sallyport and Living Unit B utility tunnel lids and walls at Anamosa State Penitentiary. Work includes demolition and replacement of tunnel lids and portions of walls, reinforced cast-in-place concrete, concrete corner repairs, reinforcement and doweling, utility support and light-fixture relocation, pavement and curb replacement, backfill, traffic and pedestrian control, temporary steel plates, cleanup, and maintaining emergency and facility access throughout construction. The project is scheduled for construction from October 23 through November 12, 2026, with substantial completion targeted for November 16, 2026. Bidders must attend one of two mandatory pre-bid meetings, submit a bid security equal to 5% of the total bid amount, and provide the required bid form, nondiscrimination information, Targeted Small Business subcontractor information, and site-visit certification. Construction workers require background checks and must comply with correctional-facility security procedures.
