Description
The Weston Board of Education is seeking a consultant to perform a district-wide facility condition assessment and develop a 10-year capital improvement and facilities master plan. The work includes school-by-school visual, nondestructive inspections of buildings, grounds, parking lots, septic systems, roofs, building envelopes, structural components, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, generators, security, access control, utilities, and other facility systems in accordance with ASTM E2018-24 and industry best practices. The consultant must identify deficiencies, code-compliance issues, potential hazards, suspected hazardous materials, estimated remaining useful lives, facility condition ratings, and current-use limitations. The master plan must prioritize maintenance, repairs, and replacements over 10 years, include probable construction cost estimates and escalation, and optionally address sustainability-driven replacements. Deliverables include facility assessments, inspection findings, photographs, a final report, presentations, meeting materials, and electronic and hard copies. Proposers must submit the completed bid form, consultant information and qualifications, staff resumes, similar-project history, at least three educational-institution references, litigation and judgment information, a non-collusion affidavit, and the applicable equal-opportunity statement.
