Description
The City of Beaumont is requesting proposals for regularly scheduled exterior and interior washing services for its transit buses and support vehicles. Class I transit buses require anticipated weekly interior and exterior cleaning plus annual detailing; Class II support and fleet vehicles require anticipated bi-weekly interior and exterior cleaning plus annual detailing. Services include washing, rinsing, tire dressing, window and wheel-well cleaning, graffiti and sticker removal, vacuuming, shampooing, mopping, disinfection, trash removal, and vehicle-specific service checklists. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, cleaning supplies, and materials and perform the work on-site at City facilities. The proposal must address the firm's approach, qualifications, similar projects, references, proposed team, scope of services, current contracts, and detailed unit pricing by vehicle class and service type. The proposal requires a signed cover letter, a separate electronic cost proposal, and a minimum 12-point font; the cover letter is limited to two pages. Subcontracting requires prior written City approval. General liability, automobile, and workers' compensation insurance are required, including at least $2,000,000 per occurrence in commercial general liability coverage.
