Description
The City of Oakland Public Works Fleet Division is seeking a vendor to furnish and deliver new OEM Dodge-Mopar car and truck parts and provide factory-authorized maintenance and repair services for Dodge-Mopar vehicles. The vendor must support urgent parts needs, maintain sufficient inventory to achieve a 75–80% availability rate within four hours, provide twice-daily delivery to City facilities, and offer telephone, facsimile, and electronic ordering. Parts must be supplied in original OEM packaging, with same-day or next-day delivery requirements depending on order time and will-call availability within four hours. For repair services, the vendor must perform all types of maintenance and repairs, provide advance estimates, supply required parts, use qualified or certified personnel and adequate repair equipment, and provide pickup and delivery for operable vehicles and towing for non-operable vehicles. The solicitation requests pricing information for parts discounts, regular and overtime labor, transportation, and parts fill rates, as well as responses regarding online ordering, out-of-stock procurement, towing, and vehicle pickup and return. The contract has a five-year term and an estimated value not to exceed $250,000, with no guaranteed spending; the City may issue separate purchase orders for parts and services.
