Description
Manalapan Township is soliciting a single responsible bidder to operate a mobile concession selling ice cream and frozen Italian ice throughout the Manalapan Recreation Center. The vendor must use its own mobile units and equipment, circulate among the park’s fields and areas, provide a written menu and suggested retail prices, maintain required health and vending licenses, comply with applicable zoning, fire, food-safety, recycling, and other regulations, and provide scheduled service Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., plus service for the summer recreation program. The vendor is also responsible for supplies, maintenance, litter removal, customer service contact information, and all operating costs. The contract covers the 2027 and 2028 operating seasons, with the Township retaining sole discretion to extend it through the 2029 and 2030 seasons. Each operating season runs from April 1 through October 31. The minimum bid is $14,500 for each operating season, and the award will be made to the highest responsible compliant bidder. Bidders must submit the prescribed proposal and required ownership, non-collusion, addenda, statutory certification, registration, and insurance-related materials as specified. Proof of insurance is required with the executed contract, including general liability, automobile liability, umbrella liability, workers’ compensation, product liability, and related coverage, with the Township named as an additional insured.
