Description
The City of Del Rio is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide, install, operate, maintain, stock, and service vending machines at designated city facilities. The scope includes beverage machines offering sodas, juices, water, sports drinks, and energy drinks; snack machines with nationally recognized packaged products, including healthy snacks, candy, chips, crackers, cookies, and gum; and potential food vending at the golf course. Machines must accept cash and card payments, be energy efficient, remain stocked with fresh products, display expiration dates, and have outdated products removed and replaced. The vendor is responsible for permits, licenses, cellular connectivity for card-reader and monitoring services, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, security, refunds, and delivery and installation within 45 calendar days after award notification. The vendor must provide a service and replenishment plan, product and price lists, a refund procedure, sales and inventory reporting, and at least three references. Evaluation weights are 30% experience and qualifications, 25% service methodology, 5% reporting, and 40% price and the percentage of gross revenue paid to the City. The contract has a three-year initial term with two possible one-year extensions.
