Description

Mason County Parks and Trails Department is requesting proposals from a concession operator to furnish all staffing and equipment necessary to provide food concessions at Mason County Recreation Area during spring and summer 2027. The operator must provide a self-contained trailer or portable temporary structure, equipment, a sample menu and prices, customer-service and employee-training plans, and routine cleaning and preventative-maintenance schedules. Operations are expected on weekday evenings for league play and on weekends for tournament or league play from March through September 2027; the dates are negotiable. Proposals must describe the proposed staff and responsibilities, concession experience, at least three recent concession references, recommended temporary site improvements, equipment to be provided, menu and pricing, customer-service and quality practices, and cleaning and maintenance procedures. The selected operator will propose fees, rent, revenue reporting, and related compensation terms, including Washington State sales tax and applicable charges. The contract may be extended at the County's sole discretion for up to three additional years, with annual review. Attachment A, the acknowledgment of certain conditions, must be submitted with the proposal.
