Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting a lump-sum bid to furnish, deliver, and completely install three modular climate-controlled inspection booths at the Calexico Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility. Each 6-by-6-foot booth must include corrosion-resistant stainless-steel framing, composite exterior siding, insulated walls, impact-resistant viewing windows, a stainless-steel entry door, an interior stainless-steel desk, lighting, prewired electrical outlets, and a 12,000-BTU, 220-volt combination heating and air-conditioning unit. The contractor must position and anchor the booths, complete all on-site assembly, remove debris, and comply with applicable building, electrical, prevailing-wage, and public-works requirements. The solicitation requires a California General B--Building contractor license, Department of Industrial Relations registration for the contractor and listed subcontractors, and mandatory participation of at least 5% with a California Department of General Services-certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise performing a commercially useful function. The award is anticipated to be a single agreement to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost. A payment bond equal to 100% of the agreement value is required if the contract price exceeds $25,000; a performance bond equal to 100% is required if progress payments are provided and the contract exceeds $10,000. The anticipated agreement term is December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, with a proposed start date of December 1, 2026, or upon approval, whichever is later.
