Description
The City of Calexico is soliciting sealed bids for approximately 4,000 to 4,100 complete residential water conservation kits for its Water Conservation Program. Each kit must include a handheld showerhead, plumber’s tape, leak-detection tablets, kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators, a flow-meter bag, a toilet tank conservation bank, and a toilet water-saving device. Products must be new and unused, and bidders must furnish, assemble, package, and deliver the kits, including all freight and other associated costs. Manufacturer literature or product data sheets must document compliance with the specifications; proposed equivalent products must be submitted with the bid for City approval. The City will purchase kits on an as-needed basis through purchase orders, with no minimum quantity guaranteed. The estimated project budget is up to $200,000, and the unit price must remain firm through June 30, 2027. Initial delivery is anticipated in November 2026 to support distribution beginning in December 2026. The bid package must include the completed Bid Form, product literature, vendor information and at least three similar-project references, any proposed-equivalent documentation, and the Information Required of Bidders Form. The successful bidder must provide the insurance specified in the contract and may not subcontract without the City’s prior written consent.
