Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting a contractor to fabricate and install one custom 20-foot non-motorized swing gate at Imperial National Wildlife Refuge. The work includes steel fabrication using square steel tubing, maintenance-free bearing-style hinges, a six-inch square steel hinge post, concrete footing, lock and latch hardware, alignment and functional testing, and restoration of the worksite. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, and incidentals, and must comply with applicable wage determinations and refuge access protocols. The contractor must demonstrate experience with steel fabrication, gate construction, welding, hinge alignment, and concrete footing installation. The quotation must include the total project price, estimated completion time, proposed gate solution, warranty period, firm information and UEI, and any applicable subcontractor information. If subcontracting, a signed Letter of Commitment is required. The government will evaluate technical capability, similar project experience, past performance, proposed materials and approach, subcontractor documentation, and price using a best-value tradeoff. Required post-installation documentation includes as-built notes, manufacturer or fabricator specifications, and warranty documentation.
