This Sources Sought notice is for market research only and is not a request for proposals, quotations, or bids. The Indian Health Service is seeking qualified small businesses capable of providing regulated medical waste and pharmaceutical hazardous waste collection and disposal services for the Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center. The contractor would provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, treatment, and disposal costs for infectious medical waste and hazardous pharmaceutical waste, including RCRA and non-RCRA waste. Services include storage, scheduled and on-request pickups, transportation, treatment, and disposal. Regulated medical waste pickups would occur biweekly; chemo trace waste and hazardous pharmaceutical waste pickups would be requested as needed, with each limited to no more than three pickups per year. The anticipated performance period is 12 continuous months from award, plus four one-year options. Respondents must submit a capability statement of no more than five pages demonstrating relevant capabilities, at least two similar projects completed within the past three years, applicable contract and customer information, socioeconomic status, and intent to submit a future quote as a prime contractor. If set aside, the notice states that the contractor must self-perform at least 50 percent of contract costs excluding materials.
