Description
Leon County is seeking a qualified, properly licensed Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility to provide hazardous waste management services, including identification, inventorying, packing, marking, labeling, manifesting, pickup, transportation, recycling, storage when necessary, treatment, and final disposal. The work covers general hazardous waste and unknown materials generated at the Leon County Hazardous Waste Center, with anticipated pickups of approximately 10 to 14 times per year. The contractor must schedule pickups within two weeks after receiving an expected manifest and provide all required documentation of transportation and final disposal. Bidders must identify all proposed disposal sites and provide each site's name, physical address, telephone number, disposal methods, and waste types. The contractor must use licensed and Florida Department of Environmental Protection-registered hazardous waste transporters and comply with applicable FDEP, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other applicable requirements. The bid must include the contractor's FDEP Hazardous Waste Transporter Registration, EPA Identification Number, completed bid pricing form, required certifications and affidavits, disposal-site information, and any required redacted and unredacted copies of the submission.
