Description
Farmington Municipal Schools is soliciting bids for the construction of a Cultural Hogan at Tibbetts Middle School in Farmington, New Mexico. The project includes a 721-square-foot octagonal building with cross-laminated timber (CLT) wall and roof panels, a standing seam metal roof, a concrete slab foundation, and a wood-burning stove with a fresh air intake and exhaust flue. Site work includes accessible concrete walkways, curb cuts with detectable warning surfaces, new fencing, rock swales, and removal of existing concrete and fencing. The building will serve educational and ceremonial purposes with perimeter seating cushions. Electrical work includes a new 100A panel, lighting (wall sconces, ceiling fan with light, exterior wall pack, and emergency exit light), and receptacles. The project is governed by 2021 New Mexico codes and requires special inspections per IBC Chapter 17.
