Description
The Indian Health Service is conducting market research—not soliciting proposals or quotations—to identify qualified Indian Economic Enterprises (IEEs) and Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) capable of providing regulated medical waste and infectious pharmaceutical hazardous waste services. The contractor would provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, treatment, and disposal, including storage, pickup, and disposal of RCRA and non-RCRA pharmaceutical waste. Vehicles and storage containers must be maintained in good repair, and the contractor must obtain all required federal, state, tribal, and local permits, licenses, registrations, and authorizations. The anticipated period of performance is 12 continuous months from contract award, plus four one-year options, for a possible total of five years. Regulated medical waste pickup would occur biweekly; chemo trace waste and hazardous pharmaceutical waste would be collected as requested, with no more than three pickups per year for each category. Respondents must submit a capability statement of no more than five pages, including business information, Buy Indian Act status, UEI, socioeconomic status, capabilities, at least two similar projects completed within the last three years, contract and project details, self-performance information, customer references, and a statement of intent to submit a future quote as a prime contractor. A completed and signed Indian Health Service Buy Indian Act Indian Economic Enterprise Representation Form is also required.
