Description
This Sources Sought notice seeks experienced architecture and engineering firms to provide comprehensive design services for the renovation and modernization of a 12,800-square-foot classified instructional museum. The scope includes project initiation and site surveying; code, fire-life-safety, and existing-condition assessments; concept, schematic, design-development, and construction-document phases; structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-protection design; exhibit-space planning; lighting and acoustic improvements; cushioned flooring and seating; water fountains; IT infrastructure; network-separation design for classified and unclassified systems; color and materials selections; renderings; specifications; cost estimates; and construction schedules. Existing displays must be preserved and incorporated into an improved educational and visitor experience. The work requires museum or gallery design experience, multidisciplinary A/E capabilities, relevant federal or secure-facility experience, New Mexico architectural and engineering licensure, exhibit-design industry relationships, and a quality-control plan. The period of performance is nine months from contract award. The facility is classified; all personnel must be U.S. persons, and an active Secret clearance is preferred but not mandatory. Site visits and stakeholder meetings require physical attendance by key personnel, while supporting personnel may participate virtually.
