Description
Farmington Municipal Schools is soliciting bids for the construction of a 100' x 100' pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) canopy at Piedra Vista High School, located at 5700 College Blvd, Farmington, New Mexico. The canopy will have one wall and a roof, with the other walls open, and the floor will be synthetic turf. The project includes concrete foundations, reinforcing steel, earthwork, and installation of the PEMB and turf. The PEMB is to be designed and sealed by the manufacturer, and the turf is to be specified by the turf supplier. The contractor must comply with the International Building Code 2021, ASCE/SEI 7-16, and ACI 318. Design criteria include a roof live load of 20 psf, snow load of 20 psf, and ultimate wind speed of 115 mph. Foundations must bear at least 2 feet into native sandstone, with concrete strengths of 3000-4000 psi. Special inspections and material testing are required.
