Description
Dallas College is soliciting bids for a comprehensive, collegewide laboratory waste management program covering hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated by instructional, research, support, maintenance, and operational departments across seven campuses. The contractor must provide waste characterization and profiling, collection, packaging, labeling, containers, transportation, recycling, treatment, storage, and disposal, including certified hazardous-materials transportation in licensed and permitted vehicles and delivery only to authorized facilities. The scope also includes manifests and chain-of-custody records, certificates of disposal and recycling, inventory and pickup reporting, regulatory documentation, emergency spill response and waste removal, incident and regulatory reporting assistance, and recurring pickup schedules. Contractors must hold applicable licenses and permits, demonstrate laboratory chemical-waste experience and environmental compliance history, maintain trained personnel with applicable HAZWOPER certifications, provide similar-scope customer references, and maintain required insurance. Sustainability practices such as waste reduction, recycling, reuse, chemical redistribution, green disposal technologies, and sustainability metrics are encouraged.
