Description
The New York State Office of Mental Health seeks one provider to operate three Safe Options Support (SOS) overnight outreach teams and one coordinator. Teams will conduct nightly, person-centered outreach to people experiencing unsheltered homelessness, connect them with emergency shelter, stabilization beds, crisis services, and immediate necessities, and coordinate with partner agencies. The coordinator will manage referrals and team deployment and support interagency communication and service consistency. Each multidisciplinary team will include mental health peer specialists, case managers, and licensed clinicians or individuals with a master's degree in a related field. The provider must coordinate with daytime SOS teams to ensure handoffs for continued outreach, case management, and housing support. Applicants must be prequalified by the proposal deadline. Applications must be submitted through the Statewide Financial System, and proof of notification to the relevant Local Governmental Unit must be uploaded there. The stated SDVOB, MBE, WBE, and DBE goals are all 0%.
