The City of Idaho Springs is requesting proposals for a Community Accelerated Mobility Project technical readiness plan supporting an equitable electric shuttle program. The work will assess existing transportation conditions, parking, pedestrian infrastructure, transit connections, mobility needs, seasonal and visitor travel demand, workforce commuting, and first- and last-mile connections. The selected consultant will provide bilingual English-Spanish stakeholder and community engagement; evaluate electric shuttle routes, vehicle sizing, charging infrastructure, grid capacity, operations, maintenance, and costs; and develop implementation phasing, governance recommendations, funding strategies, financial models, environmental and equity metrics, and a final technical readiness plan. The project is expected to include baseline data collection, limited fieldwork as needed, coordination with the existing RoundAbout service, and approximately three public engagement events. The maximum project cost is $78,750, including grant and matching funds. Proposals must address project understanding, approach, subject-matter expertise, personnel qualifications, references, and cost, and must include five professional references with contact information and brief descriptions of similar projects, including at least two completed within the last two years.
