Description
Jefferson County Sheriff's Department Detention Center is soliciting proposals to replace the upper hardware on 35 existing slider doors while retaining the existing doors. The replacement hardware must be Southern Steel, Trust Built, compatible with Model 8065 doors and the existing door-opening system, match existing finishes, and satisfy applicable fire-rating requirements. The work includes removal of deficient security hardware, installation of new hardware, coordination to maintain facility security and operational continuity, testing of each door before proceeding to the next, daily cleanup, and submission of product data, warranty information, final inspection documentation, owner's manuals, drawings, and manufacturer paperwork. The project has a not-to-exceed budget of $1,000,000. The contractor must have at least one year of similar experience, prior detention-center experience, the ability to respond to service requests within two hours, and a presence in Colorado. Staff may be subject to background checks, and the contractor must provide required insurance, 100% performance and labor-and-materials bonds, and a completion schedule. The proposal must address the requested technical approach, personnel, experience, organizational structure, schedule, and separate cost proposal; the response must be submitted electronically through BidNet.
