Description
Mapleton Public Schools is conducting a formal request for information to obtain technical and performance narratives, evaluative comments, recommended approaches, and approximate pricing for proposed upgrades to an established auditorium. No award will be made from this RFI; the information may be used to develop a future solicitation. The scope includes: installation of a mid-traveler curtain with approximately 50 feet of track, a fire-resistant black curtain approximately 30 feet high, and pulley hardware; installation of an approximately 20-foot black theatrical lighting truss with power and DMX raceway or equivalent, pulley and hoist systems, cable management, and integration with existing rigging controls; installation of an adjustable-height scenic batten approximately 50 feet long with pulley and winch options ranging from manual to electric, including ETC Prodigy automated hoists as an option; and installation of six side-curtain tracks, approximately 30 feet each, for three sets of 12-foot leg curtains, with rotating leg battens and guide ropes preferred. Respondents should include the cost of a full rigging inspection for each project where applicable. Responses must include company and contact information, completed approximate costs in Attachment A, comments and recommendations regarding design and implementation, additional information needed for a future comprehensive proposal, and a recommended project approach with approximate cost.
