Description
The National Park Service is seeking a small-business contractor to repair and recondition three Pyle National K2 generators. The contractor is responsible for the labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, repair parts, transportation, crating, blocking, securing, and related services required to disassemble, clean, inspect, repair or replace components, balance rotating assemblies, overhaul electrical components, reassemble the generators, set governor speed and voltage, and perform operational testing. The work will be performed at the contractor’s facility in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The contractor must coordinate and pay for transportation from Steamtown National Historic Site to its facility and return shipment, and remains responsible for government property during transit. A qualified subcontractor or commercial crating/freight service may be used for crating or transportation, but the contractor retains responsibility for compliance. Exterior surfaces must receive gray automotive epoxy primer and a gloss black automotive epoxy finish, while compatible internal insulating varnish is permitted. The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside and requires acknowledgment of Amendment 0001, which extends the offer deadline to September 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
