Description
The Colorado Department of Transportation is soliciting a documented quote for guardrail removal and installation on southbound US 287 north of Coal Creek. The work includes removing approximately 250 linear feet of existing Type 3 guardrail, an end anchorage, and a bridge rail transition, then installing approximately 468 linear feet of MASH-compliant 31-inch Type 3 guardrail, one nonflared end anchorage, and one Type 3G transition. Removed guardrail becomes the contractor's property. The contractor must provide traffic control, coordinate utility locates through UNCC/811 before driving guardrail posts, comply with CDOT specifications, and observe weekday lane-closure limits of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; weekend work is prohibited. The anticipated purchase-order term is 90 calendar days or until final acceptance and payment, whichever occurs first, while the scope states that work is to be completed within five working days after notice to proceed. The quote must include a technical approach and schedule, at least three relevant completed projects from the past five years, a project manager resume, traffic-control certification evidence or commitment, and completed pricing.
