Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service seeks a small-business contractor to furnish and install one climate-controlled walk-in cooler and one dehumidifier for long-term plant-seed storage, remove and dispose of the existing equipment, perform site preparation and electrical work, and provide transportation, cleanup, permits, and code compliance. The cooler must maintain 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit, while the dehumidifier must maintain relative humidity of no more than 35 percent when the cooler is operating at full speed. A 240-volt, three-phase connection is available, and the installed equipment must satisfy the performance requirements in the specifications. The acquisition is a total small-business set-aside for one firm-fixed-price award using lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation. All items must be new and traceable to the original equipment manufacturer or an authorized distributor; offerors must provide applicable manufacturer and contractor certificates of conformance and supporting traceability documentation. The quote worksheet requires pricing for the cooler, dehumidifier, installation/removal/electrical work, and shipping or transportation. Quotes must remain valid for 120 days, and delivery, installation, and removal must be completed within 180 days after award. Service Contract Labor Standards apply. No bid, payment, or performance bonds are required.
