Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking a contractor to provide an annual service plan for its Thermo Fisher Scientific Element-XR inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, serial number SN04465E. The scope includes technical support for the instrument, associated hardware peripherals—including vacuum pumps and a chiller—and operating software; all required labor, travel, tools, parts, repairs, replacement components, and upgrades. The contractor must use new, genuine OEM parts, respond to support queries within 48 hours, initiate emergency repairs within 72 hours, and test the instrument after maintenance to confirm proper operation. The scope includes pre- and post-inspection reports, on-site performance testing, and an optional requirement for at least one manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance visit with a standard parts kit.
