Description
Hampton City Schools is seeking qualified contractor(s) to provide annual, as-needed mechanical services across its schools, offices, and support facilities. The scope includes HVAC unit, boiler, water heater, ductwork, piping, pump, valve, control-system, Building Automation System, and related mechanical installation, repair, replacement, and preventive-maintenance work, as well as plumbing services. Contractors must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, inspections, crane and rigging, roofing support, structural engineering, commissioning, cleanup, documentation, training, and warranty support as applicable. The contract is for one year with four additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement, and HCS may award to multiple contractors. Bidders must hold an active Class A Virginia contractor's license, be licensed for HVAC and plumbing work, maintain a certified service department, provide three similar project references, submit required licenses and forms, and comply with insurance, response-time, safety, code, and subcontracting requirements. Work is ordered on an as-needed basis using project-specific quotes; projects of $100,000 or more require performance and payment bonds after award.
