Description
The City of Hampton and Hampton City Schools are jointly soliciting a contractor to provide professional dry cleaning, laundering when appropriate, specialty cleaning, pressing, steaming, stain treatment, minor repairs, alterations, garment finishing, packaging, and related garment-care services on an on-call, as-needed basis. Items include city- and school-owned or authorized uniforms, work apparel, academic regalia, band and performing arts costumes, athletic and activity apparel, event textiles, specialty garments, and similar textiles. The contractor must provide reliable pickup and delivery to designated city and school locations, support routine, one-time, rush, and special-event requests, follow manufacturer care instructions and applicable standards, inspect and track items from pickup through return, obtain authorization for extra-charge repairs or rush services, and maintain sufficient personnel, equipment, facilities, transportation, and operational capacity. The contract is for one base year with up to four optional one-year renewal periods, and no minimum quantity or expenditure is guaranteed.
