Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District is soliciting an unrestricted, firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging in the Norfolk Harbor Inner Channel and Channel to Newport News. Base work consists of mechanically dredging approximately 550,000 cubic yards from the Sewells Point to Lamberts Bend and Entrance Reach federal navigation channel segments to -56 feet MLLW, with one foot of allowable paid overdepth. Material will be placed at the Norfolk Ocean Disposal Site. Optional work includes approximately 150,000 cubic yards from the Channel to Newport News and approximately 45,000 cubic yards from the Naval Station Fairway, to depths of -55 feet and -47 feet MLLW, respectively, with one foot of allowable paid overdepth. Optional material will be mechanically dredged and pumped into the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area. The work includes precautions for dredging over the Navy Degaussing Array and near protected cultural resources. Completion is approximately 175 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bids are due electronically through the PIEE Solicitation Module; bid bonds are required with bids, and the awardee must provide 100% payment and performance bonds. Pre-award survey information will be requested from the apparent low bidder and is not required with the bid.
