Description
The City of Hampton is soliciting bids for an on-call, as-needed contract covering the maintenance, repair, and installation of vehicle-service-shop exhaust systems. The scope includes exhaust fan assemblies, ductwork, controls, discharge hoods, flexible and telescoping exhaust drops, retractable reels, welding exhaust hoods and hoses, related materials, permits, inspections, debris removal, and installation labor across four service shops. The contractor must provide new equipment, identify proposed manufacturers and model numbers, coordinate work with Fleet Services, and meet specified response times of four hours for emergencies, one business day for urgent service, and three business days for routine maintenance and repairs. The bid requires pricing for materials, equipment rental, installation labor, on-call and overtime labor rates, and certified electrician and project supervisor rates. The contract term is one year with up to four optional one-year renewal periods.
