Description
The City of Newport News is seeking a qualified contractor to perform yearly comprehensive inspections of water meter boxes and associated customer service connections. The program is intended to locate and access boxes, assess their condition, identify leaks, damage, tampering, unsafe conditions, and other deficiencies, and provide current condition data to support proactive water infrastructure asset management. The contractor will furnish the personnel, supervision, equipment, vehicles, materials, traffic control, cameras, GPS equipment, and related incidentals needed to perform the work, along with a secure cloud-based inspection management system supporting GIS mapping, GPS tracking, mobile offline data collection, photographs, deficiency tracking, dashboards, production reporting, exports, and integration capabilities. The contract includes an initial one-year period with three additional one-year renewal options. Required proposal materials include technical and price proposals, references, licensing information, vendor questionnaire responses, and applicable supporting documentation.
