Description
The City of Norfolk is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to pre-qualify general contractors to provide rehabilitation services for residential properties, including single-family homes and multi-family units. This is a re-issuance of previous RFQs to expand the list of pre-qualified contractors. Contractors already pre-qualified under prior RFQs do not need to reapply. Qualified contractors will be part of a selected pool and will have the opportunity to compete for individual projects over a period of up to four years. The scope of work includes interior and exterior rehabilitation, such as demolition, foundation repair, roofing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, and lead-based paint mitigation. Applications will be reviewed by the City as they are submitted, and applicants are encouraged to submit without waiting for the due date.
