Description
Hillsborough County is soliciting a contractor to provide routine and non-routine laboratory courier services. The contractor must operate concurrent north and south routes seven days per week, including weekends and County holidays, picking up wastewater samples from five treatment plants and delivering them to the Public Utilities Department Environmental Laboratory. The contractor must also transport supplies, small quantities of chemicals and reagents, paperwork, and sampling equipment between the laboratory and plants, and support quarterly additional-sample projects. Services require timely pickup beginning at 7:00 A.M. and delivery by 9:00 A.M., secure chain-of-custody handling, refrigerated transport at or below 4 degrees Celsius, ice chests and suitable vehicles, sample inventory and documentation, trained and properly equipped personnel, and response to on-call requests within specified timeframes. The estimated project value is $150,061.13. The contract will be awarded to one responsive and responsible bidder offering the overall lowest price, with no bid, performance, or payment surety required. Insurance coverage is required, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, professional liability, cyber liability, pollution liability, and other coverages identified in the insurance requirements attachment.
