Description
The U.S. Air Force is seeking industry information and practical recommendations for a recurring, cost-effective parcel delivery solution serving RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell. The service would receive or obtain personal and official parcels from commercial carriers without installation access and complete final delivery to residences or agencies on the installations seven days per week, preferably by 1700. Solutions should be scalable to fluctuating parcel volumes, leverage existing commercial capabilities, and minimize dedicated infrastructure and unnecessary government-specific processes. Responses should address carrier coordination, access-qualified staffing, package manifests and nonintrusive security screening, prohibited or specially handled items, and methods for handling time-sensitive and temperature-sensitive parcels. Respondents should provide company information, relevant experience, rough-order-of-magnitude pricing, assumptions, cost drivers, and recommendations for an efficient CLIN structure. This is a Sources Sought/RFI for market research and acquisition planning, not a solicitation or promise of a future contract.
